Fall

Colbie got into the mud.

having fun at the BD picnic

On of our ominous wall clouds coming through. It almost looks like a couple tornadoes forming. Notice the broken trampoline from the last storm?

found this cute purse pattern and made a couple purses for the girls.

Cade loving being outside.

Classic Colbie. One shoe on one shoe off, diaper, crown, makeshift stool, turning on and off lights, and escaping out the front door.

Alexis on her first day of first grade.

Our camp out in the backyard

Stake softball tournament. I got injured first time up to bat and had to sit out the rest of the tournament!

So glad for the cooler weather. I have been enjoying it thoroughly. I started teaching dance today. I am teaching a creative movement class for 2 and 3 year olds at the dance studio where Alexis takes dance. It went really well and the kids are darling. Colbie turned 2. I can hardly believe how fast the time went by. We took her shopping to ToysRUs and she picked out a shopping cart. She has been pushing her babies around and going "shopping" ever since. It was so cute to hear her singing "Hap Bir tay" all day to us. She was thrilled with her Barbie cake but even more thrilled about eating it. Today I caught her with a chair up to the counter lid off the bowl eating leftover cake .....crumbs everywhere! She is very messy and busy! Within a couple hours today for example, she squeezed syrup all over the counter, scattered cake crumbs all over the kitchen, escaped into the backyard, dumped out all her puzzles, and spilled a few drinks. You would think I wasn't right there the whole time this was happening which I was. Colbie is super loving and sweet and has a kind quite demeanor but she is also super messy and curious. She is very imaginative which feeds into the curiousness. Alexis is doing really well in school but also misses the more free atmosphere of kindergarten. There is a lot more busy work and she misses doing art. Shaun is now the Elders Quorum President which is slightly less busy than being in the Branch Presidency. It is amazingly nice to have him sit with us during sacrament meeting and be home a bit on Sunday mornings with less meetings. We have been trying some new dutch oven recipes in the backyard and even camped out one night. It has been really fun to have a backyard. We got our trampoline fixed that got busted during a severe thunderstorm. The girls have been jumping ever since. We also had our first tornado warning this last month. Luckily we had no damage and the tornado passed just outside of town. We continue to plug along. We miss family but are enjoying our time here. I just love the fall season here. It is so beautiful!
